2026 Wildfire Preparedness Update

On Monday, April 20th 2026 the Ventura County Fire Department will mail out the annual defensible space clearance notices to residents that are in our Fire Hazard Reduction Program.  Residents receiveing a notice will have until June 1st to comply with their clearance requirements.

We have included this 2026 Wildfire Preparedness Update informational flyer that has the latest information on the Zone Zero legislation along with other helpful information and resources for residents in the affected Fire Hazard Severity Zones.
